Studio recording update!

First, i wanna just say that I’m soooo not ready for Christmas. No matter how many times I attempt to change, I’m always that last minute shopper. That’s right, I’m THAT GUY, creeping around stores mere hours before Christmas, frantically trying to get a good deal.  Haha, anybody else with me?!
Anyways… Andy and I wrapped up guitar work yesterday, for several songs that will be on a five song EP to be released most likely in 2012. Things went really well, and actually better than expected! We did tracking at LA Lounge Studios in North Hollywood, CA, with AJ Oliveira as our engineer. Scott smashed through his drum parts on Wednesday, on a great sounding DW kit…we’re super happy with the tones we got from it!  Andy and i used a combination of amps including a Peavey 6505, a Marshall 1959 Randy Rhoads signature (thanks to Neal Tiemann for bringin’ that one), and a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier.  You can see the studio at http://www.laloungestudios.com.  Vocals, bass, mixing, and mastering will all be taking place over the next month or two, so stay tuned for more!  We’ll also be posting a video teaser with clips from the studio sessions sometime after the first of the year, so look for that as well.  Happy holidays everybody, and we’ll have more soon.  Cheers!

status update

hey all!  I haven’t posted an update lately, and I apologize for that.  however, things behind the scenes have been movin’ and shakin’, and I’m more stoked than I’ve ever been for this project. As some of you know, i have recruited Andy Ingraham ( a Berkeley graduate & incredible lead guitarist), Scott Decker (a rock drummer from Mississippi), and Ryan Flores (bassist for The Accident Experiment) to help me turn these songs I’ve been writing for years into full band rock songs that, without sounding cheesy or cliche, will blow your mind. When I write songs, i write with the mindset of there already being a full band.  However, until now, its been me and an acoustic guitar. And in doing so, I’ve had alot of great responses to my material, yet at the same time have also garnered reviews from critics, publications, and more that reveal that something was always lacking. And I agree.  So, I’m finally getting to do what I’ve always wanted to do with these songs, and frankly, rock them the fuck out.  By the first of the year, there will be a fully recorded EP (yet to be named), quite possibly a new band name & artwork, and tons more.  These songs are evolving into what I’ve always envisioned them, and sooooo much more. Anyone who truly knows me understands my passion behind these songs, and I truly hope that you’re as excited as I am. All I ask in the meantime is that you stick with me, stay excited, and prepare for what is to come.  I’ve always said that you’re support means the world to me, and i’ll continue to shout that from the rooftops. Much love, and get ready, cause things are about to change.  Cheers!

Free songs!

I posted a few free downloads on Soundcloud. Hop over and get some free tunes, if you’re so inclined. Cheers!

Tonight tonight! I’m playing an acoustic set at Key Club in Hollywood. 10pm is the start time! I’m unveiling a new song, so get there and be the first to hear it. Show takes place in the Plush Lounge downstairs of the main room. See ya tonight!

This just in!!! I’m doing an acoustic set at El Cid in LA on September 30th. From 9:30-10:00pm. Oh, and Tulsa….I’m comin for you next week.

Happy wednesday to everyone! My two shows last week in LA and San Diego were great…thanks to everyone who came, supported me, and had a good time.  I was able to play a couple new songs and make a bunch of new friends (you know who you are).  If you signed up for my mailing list, you should have already gotten an email from me, and will continue to get updates, sneak peaks, and more.  If you’re not a part of the mailing list, simply click this link… http://bravodelta.fanbridge.com/

I’m currently recording and writing, designing artwork, and laying out the groundwork for my debut album!  I have so many ideas swirling around in my head, and I’m trying to get them all to flow in a manner that makes sense.  But things are coming along, and I should have a name, artwork, and a release date set very soon!

I’m also preparing for my next few shows. A couple of which will be in my old stomping grounds, Tulsa, OK. I’m performing an acoustic set on Friday September 23rd at 8pm as part of OK Greenfest, a music festival to raise awareness about zero carbon emissions and a greener lifestyle.  The whole thing takes place at 18th & Boston in downtown Tulsa.  More info can be found at http://okgreenfest.com
After I return to Cali, I’ll be performing at the Key Club in Hollywood, on October 6th!  I’ll have more details on that very soon.  Be looking for more updates in the coming days, and have a great rest of the week!  Cheers.

Las Vegas!

I’m very excited for my very first solo show in Las Vegas! Tomorrow (Thursday August 18th), I’m playing at the Freakin’ Frog, which is a really sweet place down on Maryland near UNLV.  They have a killer beer selection (from what I’ve heard) and they have live music there as well.  This show also marks the beginning of my late summer mini tour, which includes shows in Las Vegas, Sacramento, LA, San Diego, and Tulsa.  It’s good to be playing again, seeing as how I’ve mainly been focusing on writing and doing pre-production for the past two months. But things have been going great!  I think I’ve found a studio to get in to, that I’m comfortable with, and that gets the concept I’m trying to achieve. However, I have gotten alot already recorded at home, and things are progressing nicely. I’ll be posting some news, video blogs, and more very soon…so stay tuned.  For those of my friends and fans in Nevada, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!  Cheers everyone.
